The Directorate of Technical Services, formerly known as Explosives Devices Analysis/Bomb Data Office, is responsible for carrying out the Implement strand of the National Counter Terrorism Strategy (NACTEST) document. The Directorate undertakes a wide range of technical roles in support of the mandate of the NCTC. The Directorate’s core mandate includes the strategic control of IED making materials (such as the importation, storage, distribution, usage and disposal of explosives and accessories, dual use chemicals, fertilizers and nuclear materials as well as CBRNE threat mitigation in Nigeria).
