In another significant feat by the Federal Government of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu handed over 59 rescued kidnap victims to Kaduna State Government on Tuesday 18 February, 2025 in his Office in Abuja.

The hostages who were abducted along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway, particularly at Rijana community, were recently rescued by a joint team of military and intelligence forces.
According to the NSA, the Federal Government remains committed to tackling insecurity and restoring peace across the country.

While commending the Kaduna State government for playing a critical role in the rescue mission, Ribadu noted that some of the victims had been in captivity for several months before their rescue, which took place between November 2024 and February 2025.
“We must thank President Tinubu for facilitating the release of these victims and several others in the past. Other rescue operations are ongoing.
“Everyone can see the results of the Federal Government’s fight against insecurity, as Mr. President is committed to making Nigeria peaceful once again.”
Receiving the rescued victims on behalf of the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, his Chief of Staff, Mr. Sani Liman Kila, thanked the NSA for his unwavering commitment.
