In view of the nexus between drug abuse, terrorism and violent extremism, the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) have stressed the need for stronger collaboration.
The National Coordinator, NCTC, Major General AG Laka and the NAFDAC Director General, Professor Mojisola Christiana Adeyeye expressed this when the former led a delegation from the Centre to the latter’s office in Abuja on 16 July 2024.
General Laka pledged express access to NAFDAC for the use of the state-of-the-art laboratories at the centre for testing and investigations, noting that the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is providing an effective leadership support for inter-agency collaboration.
‘You have a brother who is ready to work with you for the benefit of this country,‘ the Coordinator assured.
