NCTC Coordinator visits Chief of Defence Space Administration in Abuja

The National Coordinator, National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Maj Gen AG Laka, as part of the efforts to pursue the whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach in the counter terrorism (CT) efforts in the country, led a delegation from the Centre to the Defence Space Administration (DSA) in Abuja on 27 August 2024. The visit was geared towards effective collaboration between the two important entities of the federal government in the CT efforts.

While commending the Chief of Defence Administration (CDSA), Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Abdullahi Shinkafi for his sterling leadership and prompt response to the invitation for the visit, the Coordinator acknowledged his dedication to Nigeria’s defence and security efforts, especially in space-related domains and their implications for national security.

General Laka  assured the CDSA of the Centre’s commitment to maintaining strong and productive partnerships with the DSA. He also reiterated the importance of continued joint efforts in strengthening Nigeria’s overall counterterrorism and security architecture, with an emphasis on leveraging space technologies and intelligence capabilities.
